Our organization is guided by compassionate and experienced leaders from across the community.
Chris Milowe began as the Administrator of Yorkshire and Stonebridge Manors late in 2015 after serving as the Associate Administrator for one year. Before this, he served as a caregiver at Georgetown and Cambridge Manors for five years. During his time as a caregiver, he finished his bachelor’s of science from Grand Valley State University, majoring in Bio-Medical Science. He has also completed the Level 1 & 2 Administrator course from Senior Living University. Caring for our aging population is Chris’ passion and he hopes to use that passion to give the community’s seniors a living environment where they can thrive.
When time and life permits, Chris enjoys getting outdoors, whether for work or play. He finds himself hunting, fishing, or working on a cabin in most of his spare time.
Beth Strait, CTRS CDP
Beth Strait began as the Associate Administrator in March of 2016 after serving 4 ½ years as the Director of Life Enrichment and Volunteer Services. Prior to this, Beth has worked as a Recreation Therapist for over 20 years working primarily with seniors in Nursing Homes, specializing in Dementia Care.
Beth graduated from Grand Valley State University with a Bachelors Degree in Therapeutic Recreation.
Since joining Yorkshire and Stonebridge Manor, Beth has received her Certified Dementia Practitioner Certificate and serves on the Board for the Michigan Association of Activity Professionals as the Professional Development Chairperson.
Beth feels strongly about the need to continue to train and educate ourselves and others about serving seniors in our communities and individualizing the care to meet their physical, social and cognitive needs. As the Associate Administrator, Beth feels she can better address these areas with staff and families to make a better life for our seniors.
Beth grew up on the East side of Michigan but met her husband while attending Grand Valley State University. Beth has been married for 28 years, they have two children and are blessed to be actively involved in the lives of their two grandchildren. Beth enjoys reading, music and bike riding.
